Impact of Recipient EBV-serostatus on Kidney Transplant Outcomes

Strategies to protect against adverse consequences of donor-derived EBV infection, such as
pretransplant vaccination against EBV and a better understanding of the impact of pretransplant
antibodies against EBV, are urgently needed to reduce the risk of EBV-related cancer after
kidney transplantation. This study will evaluate the effect of recipient EBV-serostatus on posttransplant outcomes for kidney and kidney-pancreas transplant recipients.
